I would like an electron microscope which always works! Also more job security because my contract is only for 4 months, so I am already looking for another job and might have to move to another city for it.

I would love to have more time to do research. My job is a combination of teaching and research, and sometimes it is hard to fit it all in (especially when the experiments are going wrong, and it is late, and you just want to go home 🙁 )

I like most things about my job, but there’s a lot of competition for jobs and money, which can make things stressful — especially for younger scientists. And, like Alex says, even if you can get a job, you often have to move somewhere new, which makes it hard to settle. So I’d like there to be more funding and more job security!
