      Interesting question. I didn’t know the answer to this – so I just ‘Googled’ it! It seems that sharks typically have about 50 teeth, but they have multiple rows of teeth so that if one tooth falls out another developing tooth can shift to take its place. Apparently, some sharks can have over 50 000 teeth over their entire lifetime!
